Chances are, if you’re here then you’re probably looking for information on the vintage biplane rides that had been offered at the Reynolds-Alberta Museum in Wetaskiwin since the early 90s. We’re happy to announce that we’re bringing open-cockpit biplane rides back to Wetaskiwin in 2024 with the same 1943 Boeing Stearman aircraft that helped start that program over 30 years ago.
About Us + FAQ
Our Stearman has been local to the central Alberta area since the early 80s and if you or a family member took a ride in a Stearman in Wetaskiwin, it would’ve been in this very airplane!
Our pilot, Ted, grew up with this ride program giving pre-flight briefings and loading passengers as a childhood summer job. After completing a commercial pilot license, he began flying the company’s Stearman and Waco aircraft, happily sharing the thrill of open-cockpit flying with thousands of people over the years. Ted is also a licensed Canadian Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (M1 & M2) with a US FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate and has been involved in various aspects of the aviation industry including aircraft restoration, airlines, helicopters, and even toured the world for 7 years with the Red Bull Air Race World Championship as a technician until the series was canceled at the end of the 2019 season.

Is the WACO UPF-7 Available?
YES! It is now booking for flights!
How many passengers can you take?
The Stearman has room for 1 passenger at a time and the WACO UPF-7 has room for up to 2 passengers side by side.
Is there an age limit?
Stearman passengers must be aged 12+ and fit enough to get in & out of the aircraft unassisted.
WACO UPF-7 passengers must be aged 3+ and tall enough to be properly secured using the aircraft harnesses.
Is there a weight limit?
There are physical constraints to who we can take and people do carry their weight differently, however, passengers under 250 lbs shouldn’t be a problem. Again, you must be able to get in & out of the aircraft unassisted. This is for your safety and ours.
WACO UPF-7 passengers can have a combined weight limit of up to 400 lbs or up to 450 lbs with prebooking and advanced notice.
Are longer rides available?
You bet! Once you select the ride you want, you’ll see some options to add 10, 20 or 40 minutes to your flight. Most of our operating costs are eaten up in the takeoff, climb and landing phases of the flight so adding some time to the cruise portion of the flight can be done for a reduced cost.
How do the Gift Certificates work?
Simply choose the ride/length that you want and fill out the form. A personalized Gift Certificate will be emailed to you within 2 days that you can then print out to give to the recipient. For booking the ride itself, simply call or email us for availability.
